UVU vs JLS - Final Week

Not the best of ways to finish the contest against JLS, as Ionel dropped a place on the final day, and Iccy missed out on 3rd and 4th.

It was also bad for the fact that we lost all Three Head-to-Head's. Ben was beaten 1-0 away at SV Ried, whilst Luke and David both lost 3-0 away at Kapfenberger SV and Sturm Graz respectively.

SV Ried's win, combined with Rapid Wien's 2-0 defeat away at LASK Linz meant that SV Ried, who have led the league for virtually the whole season, nicked the title on the final day, on a day of high drama.

However that led to disappointment for Iccy, had Rapid Wien won the title by beating LASK Linz, he would have finished 4th, after he won the last UVU encounter, 2-0 at home to Ionel, who was playing his 200th game last night.

It means that JLS have filled the top Four spots, with Iccy finishing 5th, and JLS' final manager finishing in 6th place, after overtaking Ionel on the final day.

Ionel, David, Ben and Luke were the bottom four in that order, so it proved to be a rather disappointing season for us.

The positive however is that our Five managers who took part will have learnt a lot from this experience, and hopefully use it to their advantage last time, and maybe record our first win in a Crew Battle!
